Partnering with Gen Peace2025 on It’s Just Feminism Podcast

We are proud to announce our collaboration with Gen Peace2025 on their inspiring digital series, It’s Just Feminism.

Earlier this year, the NOVADER team attended the European Youth Event (EYE) 2025, held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. As the event was coming to an end, a spontaneous encounter at one of the stands changed everything. There we met Domenika and Aurora, the founders of Gen Peace2025 — a youth initiative launched exclusively for EYE2025. What began as a brief chat quickly turned into a meaningful, long-term collaboration between NOVA’s creative team and the brilliant moderators behind It’s Just Feminism.

What is It’s Just Feminism?

It’s Just Feminism is a podcast that asks essential questions:

What is feminism? Who are feminists? What do they do? Can feminism change the world?

In a landscape full of diverse theories, historical legacies, and lived experiences, feminism is often discussed — but not always deeply understood. This podcast seeks to challenge misconceptions and shed light on feminism as:

• a human rights movement,

• a way of living, and

• a field of academic study.

Through a series of interviews with activists, educators, and researchers, It’s Just Feminism explores the realities of those who have dedicated their lives to advancing equality and dismantling the systems that label people as “others.”

The podcast is built as a safe space for dialogue — open to diverse perspectives and respectful debate. As the hosts like to remind their audience: “Acting respectfully is free, so why not do it more often? Let’s practice it here together.”

How is NOVA involved?

As NOVA, we are co-producing two special episodes with It’s Just Feminism.

• Part I: A conversation about how this collaboration began — tracing the moment when NOVA Founder Alkım Erkan Tanrıgünverdi crossed paths with the Gen Peace team, and how shared values sparked a creative alliance.

• Part II: A roundtable episode featuring Burcu Korkmaz, Can Çubukçu, Ala’Abed, and Ilgın Çubukçu, representing NOVA and sharing their unique perspectives on equality, art, and youth activism.

The episodes will be available on YouTube and major podcast platforms, with Croatian, English, and Turkish transcriptions published on NOVABLOG.
