Human Rights Education as the Baby Steps.
Human Rights Education: The Sequel was NOVADERโs first project ever โ the moment where our orange spark truly met the world.
Under the Greek sun, sixty young people from Greece, Tรผrkiye, and Bulgaria gathered to question, imagine, and act on the meaning of peace.

NOVA#1 โ HUMAN RIGHTS THE SEQUEL
Designed and facilitated by Alkฤฑm Erkan Tanrฤฑgรผnverdi, Augusta Akritidi and Ifigenia Akritidi, the programme unfolded around the question:
What happens to human rights when the world goes to war?
Through theatre, debate, role-play, and storytelling, participants lived seven days of reflection and action โ from The Circle of Trust to My Voice for the Voiceless.
We discussed EYE 2025, Roskilde Festival, and how art festivals worldwide are becoming more political โ how stages can turn into platforms for human rights.
The project produced a complete educational manual, Human Rights Education: The Sequel, now used across Europe as a non-formal learning tool for empathy, advocacy, and civic action, and posted on the Website of our host E.O. Sharp Minds and Salto.
From Tรผrkiye, Berke ฤฐlgรถr, Ceylin Temurlenk, Berat Beyzanur Gรผlรงebi, and Alkฤฑm Erkan Tanrฤฑgรผnverdi represented NOVADER as our founding wave.
After the project, four participants became part of the family. We met with Fatma Tuna Mengilli, Maria Dragan, Muhammed Mehdi Alฤฑcฤฑ, and รaฤlayan รoลkun โ now active NOVADER volunteers shaping our next adventures.

What we have learned in a nutshell?
Human rights are not abstract โ they live in choices, words, and creative action.
Empathy is a practice; cooperation is a language.
Youth work can connect activism with art, and art with politics.
Festivals, classrooms, and forests can all become places of learning and change.
Us Actually Doing Some Work
(Some) of The Posters
100% created by the brilliant youth.
This project opened the door for NOVADER to the European youth scene โ a chapter that set our tone: artistic, fearless, international.
It remains a symbol of where we started and why we move forward โ to turn art, empathy, and activism into one shared voice.
